Training day with Alejandro Alcojor
We were with our athlete Alejandro Alcojor in one of his training days. The day consisted of two training sessions:
The first session of the day was performed in the gym, where exercises such as squats, power clean, hip extensions, press bench, etc trying to improving his strengh. We will work in a range that improves the power, which will later be transferred to pedaling on the bike.
It is in a week between competitions that will decrease the volume of the session and increase the intensity. In particular, in this session we work around 75% of the RM and low repetitions (around 3).
The second session consisted in the realization of gates in the track with first straight included at maximum speed. Few repetitions were made but the intensity is extreme. No fault allowed. At the end of the session the athlete will have to find very good feelings facing his next competition in Zolder (Belgium)
