Physical Benefits of Surfing
As well as relaxing, surfing is an activity that
combines aerobic and strengthening work. We have to row against the waves in
the sea, so the cardiorespiratory function is improved, calories are burnt and the
muscles in our arms and back work.
Moreover, surfing is an activity that strengthen our
legs, gluteus and core, which is the middle part of our body. In the core,
there are plenty of postural muscles which are used in order to stand in the
surfboard while skipping the waves.
